Matthew Leyland - Matt's Music

Matt's Music is my radio show that aired on Faith 999 from December 2017 - June 2022. My website that kept my audience informed of the Christian rock and alternative genre.

I produced the show with a mind towards can-con within my show's genre.

Matt's Music has afforded me fun and challenging opportunities, from conceiving and running successful promotions, to researching and interviewing musicians.

I have been able to build strong connections with clients as well as musicians putting them at ease during the interview with a natural flow to the conversation and thorough and well-done research.

Through Matt's Music, I've been able to write a number of short articles as well as pieces that have gone in-depth on a subject and analyzed the meaning of a song's lyrics.

Christian rock and alternative is not a very large genre so being able to put out regular news content is challenging but it is rewarding to see listeners and artists engage.

Since June 2022 I have been on hiatus from regular writing and podcasts as I assess the future of the show and rebrand my content and website with a new name and logo.
