In an ever evolving media landscape I believed I needed to formalize and add to my skills I have learned through my career. In the fall of 2022, I began studying online through the University of Calgary's Continuing Education. I took an accelerated version of their Digital Marketing program and have completed all courses as of January 2023 am awaiting graduation.
I chose this program because I believe it will help me to better navigate the digital aspect of the radio world for promotions, podcasts and social media posts.
Some of the things I gained from this course include the knowledge of emerging digital marketing approaches as well as managing, developing and applying them to a business. 
I learned the importance of an omni-channel approach to engage target audiences. 
I learned how to create reports and analyze data metrics to asses their effectiveness as well as how to improve on current strategies.
